after 15 long weeks i try to reconnect with some semblance of routine. hectic is an under statement. finally said goodbye to the day job. it got to a point that i hated Sunday evenings and the dreadful Monday morning. its not the daily grind that got to me but the fact that my attention was already elsewhere and my mind was more occupied with counting minutes on the clock up to when it was 5pm. i am now as happy as a clam, working at home and doing what i want. i work longer hours up to the wee hours but because its such a joy the hours just pass by. on top of things finally decided to migrate our entire website into the new html5 coding so its like starting from scratch. the job seems outrageously tedious but once i got some momentum its easypeasy. only thing i need to do is find the time to actually develop the website since i have been drowning in orders since fall of last year. i had this brilliant idea of maxing out stock to what storage capacity we have and the orders have been rolling in with one small downside. any sleep or rest i get before is now almost nil. i have been repeating to myself that i will catch up one day soon and i know i will just until i can conjure an eight day into my week. another brilliant idea which is not my own, was to drop anchor somewhere else. since i have cut the ties that kept us from moving previously, sacking my day job opened up a whole world of possibilities. so on top of working 23 hours a day wouldn't moving be great? and after a couple of weeks, a hand injury and busted knee, 10 million trips to Ikea and driving up and down the country (in comparison, we would have been to Spain and back twice by now), we are shall we say basking in our brilliance. if you define brilliance with making coffee out of a pot noodle cup because i cant seem to find any cups or any tea spoons. we are getting there though. the home office is nearly organized and well the rest of the house will be as soon as i get to unpack about a thousand boxes...
